Akshay Kumar, born as Rajiv Hari Om Bhatia on 9 September 1967, is a highly acclaimed Indian actor and film producer, known for his prolific work in the Hindi cinema. Known in the media as 'Khiladi Kumar', he has carved out an illustrious career spanning over three decades, during which he has appeared in more than 150 films. He started his career in 1991 with 'Saugandh', and first tasted commercial success the following year with the action thriller 'Khiladi'. Over the years, he has won numerous awards including two National Film Awards and two Filmfare Awards. The Government of India honored him with the Padma Shri, India's fourth-highest civilian honor, in 2009.

Born in Delhi, India and later acquiring Canadian citizenship (2011-2023), Akshay is recognized as one of the most prolific actors in the Indian cinema, demonstrating his versatility through numerous romantic, action, and slapstick comic performances.
