Under the roof of Somnath, a respected judge, a wife Madhu and their children—three sons, a daughter—live together in a tightly ordered household. The household is built on high hopes for its younger generation: Ravi is studying law with the goal of becoming a judge like his father, Vikram is a surgeon, and Mohan is a police inspector. Kaamna, the daughter, has reached marriageable age, and the home buzzes with plans and expectations that surround her future.
