Ajay Malhotra, Ajay Devgn, and Raj Sinha, Akshay Kumar, are two best friends studying in the same college, with Pooja, Karisma Kapoor, and Madhu, Nagma, as their girlfriends. Raj comes from a wealthy family and lives with his uncle, while Ajay lives in Bombay with his widowed mother, Asha R. Sharma, Aruna Irani. The pair share a brotherly bond, and Raj treats Ajay’s mother like his own.
After graduation, Raj’s maternal uncle asks Ajay for his birth certificate so he can obtain a passport and seek work in Canada. Ajay heads home to locate the document and uncovers a shocking truth: his full name is Ajay Malhotra, and his father, Dr. Ravi Malhotra, Romesh Sharma, is alive but serving a life sentence in prison for trafficking a patient’s organs. This revelation drives Ajay to confront his mother and dig deeper into the past, where he learns that his father was framed by Rai Bahadur, a powerful hospital owner Suresh Oberoi.
Determined to set things right, Ajay and Raj vow to confront Rai Bahadur and free Ajay’s father. As they investigate, they uncover a more intricate web: Raj’s father, Dr. Sanjay Sinha, a key figure at Rai Bahadur’s hospital, was involved in the earlier scheme that framed Ajay’s father years before. Rai Bahadur retaliates by killing Raj’s father before he can testify in court.
To expose the truth, Raj and Ajay bring the body of Dr. Sanjay Sinha into the courtroom, pretending that he is alive and ready to testify in the organ trafficking case. The courtroom buys into the ruse, and it appears that Dr. Sanjay Sinha is implicating Rai Bahadur. Enraged, Rai Bahadur attempts to shoot at the improvised witness, leading to a brutal confrontation in which Ajay and Raj fight him and ultimately throw him from the building, where he meets his end.
