Fall 2: Deadpoint 2026

The film begins in Thailand, specifically on the precarious slopes of Mount Kwan, where two men precariously navigate some planks. One of them is armed, forcing the other to move forward. Suddenly, an earthquake strikes, causing a cascade of rocks that breaks the chains securing their harnesses, resulting in their tragic plummet to the depths below.

Fast forward to a time after the events depicted in the first movie, we meet Becky Connor, portrayed by Grace Caroline Currey, and Shiloh Hunter, played by Virginia Gardner. They have gained notoriety due to their harrowing experience at the top of the TV tower, which led to Shiloh’s untimely demise as she attempted to retrieve their bag when the ladder unexpectedly fell off. Since then, Shiloh has been memorialized by her followers, while Becky is navigating the path of moving on from that traumatic incident.

In the meantime, Shiloh’s sister Jax, depicted by Harriet Slater, crosses paths with a young woman named Luce, played by Arsema Thomas. Luce claims to have been friends with Shiloh and is looking to pick up Shiloh’s stolen van. During their search, they stumble upon a scrapbook filled with Shiloh’s hopes and dreams, which includes a daring aspiration to walk the plank walk at Mount Kwan. Although initially hesitant, Jax reflects on her last encounter with Shiloh, recalling the skydive prank Shiloh pulled that terrified her, followed by Jax’s regrettable retort of telling her sister to “drop dead.”

Eventually, Jax decides to honor her sister’s memory and, alongside Luce, flies to Thailand. The two young women head to a local bar seeking a guide, armed with advice from Shiloh’s scrapbook. They meet Jon, played by Tom Brittney, a man who offers to guide them up the mountain for a steep fee of $5,000. Though hesitant, Jax is persuaded when Luce offers to cover the cost.

As the trio embarks on their journey up the mountain, equipped with safety harnesses while traversing narrow planks, they reach the Devil’s Elbow section. However, their trek is abruptly halted by a fierce storm, followed by another earthquake that brings down a rock slide, cutting off their path and tragically separating them from Jon. The ladies find themselves stranded, facing the ominous challenge of returning safely as the planks leading back are also demolished, leaving them precariously stuck on the Devil’s Elbow.

With morning’s light, they attempt to call for help using Jax’s cell phone, but their efforts are futile. Through an unexpected turn of events, they hear Jon’s voice on the radio, revealing that he survived but is unconscious. Luce tries to lasso their backpack—containing their crucial radio—but fails when the hook breaks. As darkness envelops them, they try to signal for help using Jon’s laser pointer, but their motions go unnoticed as the bar below remains oblivious to their plight.

While searching through a video on Shiloh’s camera, Jax encounters a different woman, who is later revealed to be Billie (a fan of Shiloh’s videos). Billie confesses she adopted the name Luce to get closer to Jax, having been motivated by Shiloh’s legacy following her battle with cancer. When Billie attempts a brave but risky maneuver to retrieve the backpack, she suffers a grave injury when her arm becomes impaled. Quick-thinking Jax throws her a harness, successfully pulling her back to safety.

After a haunting nightmare involving Shiloh, Jax musters her courage, deciding to confront her deepest fears. She manages to walk across the precarious bars and reach the bag, using the radio to summon Jon for assistance in their ascent from the mountain. Jon responds, arranging for a helicopter to rescue them. However, just as they attempt to proceed, the truth unfolds: the oxygen tanks given to them were actually containers for smuggling fentanyl.

Realizing Jon is, in fact, a drug smuggler who exploits tourists, Billie throws her stash off the edge of the mountain, causing Jon to retaliate violently. A struggle ensues, during which Jax fights to keep the contraband within reach to negotiate their safety. Just before she manages to escape, Jax musters all her strength, kicking the bridge they had crossed, which results in Jon’s demise as he falls to his death.

Ultimately, Jax is rescued by the helicopter and returns to the bar to collect their belongings. With emotional weight, she retrieves Billie’s phone and sends a heartfelt message to Billie’s mother—one she’d long feared sending since she stopped her own cancer treatments. As a tribute to Shiloh and Billie’s memories, Jax shares a drink while reflecting on the moments they’ve lost and those they’ve honored.

In a separate scene, Becky is seen at home going through her mail, discovering an invitation from the Hunter family. It invites her to join in climbing Hell’s Chasm in celebration of Shiloh’s incredible life and legacy, leaving viewers with a sense of hope and remembrance.
