Vishal Veeru Devgan, known professionally as Ajay Devgn, is a critically acclaimed actor, film director, and producer in the Indian film industry. Born on 2 April 1969 in Delhi, India, Devgn has left a long-lasting impact in Hindi cinema. Known as one of the most prolific actors, his work includes over 100 films. He has won numerous accolades, both national and international, including four National Film Awards and four Filmfare Awards, which are testament to his versatility and talent. In 2016, he was also honored with the Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian award of the Government of India. Devgn was born into a family with roots in the film industry. His father, Veeru Devgan, was a stunt choreographer, action-film director, while his mother, Veena Devgan, is a film producer. His performances in a variety of genres from intense dramas to action blockbusters and from thrillers to social issues, highlights his range and capability as an actor. Devgn’s performance in 'The Legend of Bhagat Singh', portraying the title role of the Indian freedom fighter, won him his second National Film Award for Best Actor. His other significant works include 'Drishyam', 'Golmaal Again', 'Raid', and yet another portrayal of a legendary figure in 'Tanhaji', which won him his third National Film Award for Best Actor.
