Three carefree bachelors, Meet Mehta ([Vivek Oberoi]), Prem Chawla ([Aftab Shivdasani]), and Amar Saxena ([Ritesh Deshmukh]), enjoy a life untroubled by responsibilities until marriage alters their world. Meet’s wife, Anchal Mehta ([Amrita Rao]), is obsessively possessive, turning the marital dynamic tense. Prem’s partner, Geeta Chawla ([Tara Sharma]), is deeply devout, which dampens their sexual life, while Amar’s wife, Bindiya Saxena ([Genelia D’Souza]), is the daughter of a domineering and workout-obsessed mother, amplifying domestic pressure. Fed up, the trio hatch a plan to reclaim the excitement of their younger days, venturing out to flirt with other women. Yet they soon discover they are chasing the same woman, Monica ([Lara Dutta]). Monica uses this knowledge to blackmail them, demanding Rs. 10 lacs to keep their affairs secret.
With the money collected, they head to the drop-off point, only to find Monica dead in her car. Panic takes over as they scramble to hide the body and avoid suspicion, all while Inspector Sikander ([Ajay Devgn]) remains suspicious of their movements. The trio visits Monica’s house for answers, and when they realize Sikander had trailed them, they hide on Monica’s veranda. The following morning, a mysterious man emerges, admitting he killed Monica and demanding a ransom, forcing the men into a deeper web of fear and guilt. They each return to their wives to offer apologies, aware that the truth could wreck their lives.
The danger escalates as the killer pursues the men, culminating in a shootout during which they accidentally eliminate the mysterious assailant. They are arrested and jailed, where their wives arrive to confront them with the truth. After a period, the women reveal their ruse: Monica is alive, and the so-called killer is actually an undercover cop. Sikander, it turns out, is Bindiya’s cousin. The women explain that they staged the entire ordeal to teach their husbands a lesson and remind them to value their wives. In a closing moment, the men offer sincere apologies and vow to abandon reckless masti forever.
