What is the main reason Guddu and Jonny find themselves in trouble?

Guddu, portrayed by Ajay Devgn, and his partner Jonny, played by Sanjay Mishra, are small-time con artists who find themselves in deep trouble when they are betrayed by their associate Daddu. The duo had previously pilfered a significant sum of money from the corrupt Police Commissioner, who was involved in a scheme to convert decommissioned banknotes into new ones for a hefty 50% cut.
This betrayal sets off a hilarious and chaotic adventure that intertwines Guddu and Jonny’s lives with three other groups: Avinash, brought to life by Anil Kapoor, and his estranged wife Bindu, portrayed by Madhuri Dixit, a couple in the midst of a divorce; Lallan, played by Ritesh Deshmukh, alongside Jhingur, who are fire officers turned criminals; and the quirky siblings Aditya, depicted by Arshad Warsi, and his brother Manav, represented by Javed Jaffrey, who disagree on how to fairly divide the spoils from their heist. The tension grows as each group attempts to outsmart the others while racing to find the loot.
The pursuit intensifies when Guddu and Jonny manage to trace Daddu, but he manages to escape on a plane just as the Commissioner tracks them down. In a twist of fate, the plane crashes when Daddu learns that the pilot is just a janitor with no flying experience. As a result of the chaos, all three groups—Avi and Bindu, Aditya and Manav, along with Lallan and Jhingur—find themselves in close quarters when the plane goes down.
Before his untimely demise, Daddu reveals that he has hidden the stolen money in a zoo in Janakpur, stored inside a peculiar item referred to as “OK.” Hearing this, the race for the treasure begins, but the groups require efficiency to decide who gets to keep the loot. Unfortunately, Guddu and Jonny run into setbacks—including a flat tire that forces them to steal a car from an unsuspecting traveler. In a botched attempt to check the glove compartment, Jonny accidentally fires a gun, hitting the Commissioner who is in pursuit.
Evading capture, Guddu and Jonny’s luck seems to ebb and flow as they find themselves on a wild ride involving stolen vehicles, a malfunctioning GPS, and a skydiving escapade that lands them directly in the zoo. Meanwhile, Avi and Bindu take a shortcut only to find themselves lost in the jungle, narrowly escaping disaster on a collapsing bridge and later getting swept away by a sudden rush of water.
Lallan and Jhingur’s attempts to reach the zoo lead them to a dilapidated helicopter, which predictably crashes as they make a desperate leap to safety. Aditya and Manav find themselves stranded in the desert, battling quicksand and absurdity with a snake used as a rescue tool.
Ultimately, all four parties arrive at the zoo simultaneously, where Guddu is captivated by the zoo owner, Prachi. However, they soon discover that Chinappa Swamy, played by Mahesh Manjrekar, is scheming to demolish the beloved zoo for his own financial gain. In a moment that tests their motivations, the group puts aside their greed to save the animals, confronting real danger to ensure their safety.
Amid dramatic reveals and peril, they eventually find the hidden money within a tree shaped like “OK.” Just as they plan to split the loot with the Commissioner, Chinappa poses a new threat, but karma has a plan of its own when he becomes a hostage to a mischievous monkey. The ensuing chaos leads them to decide on a fair division of the wealth, including a portion dedicated to the care of the zoo’s creatures. As harmony returns to their lives, Avi and Bindu reconcile, demonstrating that love can often sprout even in the most unexpected circumstances.
