In Mumbai, Vishi, Ajay Devgn, a small-time crook who would do anything for money, falls in love with Khushi, Sonakshi Sinha, a simple HR executive. Vishi, who frequently gets into fights, publicly beats up a street gangster, only for that gangster to brutally strike back and escape. It’s then revealed that the man they beat is Jai, Vishi’s lookalike, leaving both of them badly battered. ACP Shirke pursues Vishi, who manages to slip away, but Shirke then detains Jai and hands him over to a gang led by Pedro. Jai, however, kills the gang single-handedly. The twist becomes clear: Jai is AJ, a professional assassin.

Past: AJ, Ajay Devgn, serves as the right-hand man to Xavier Fonseca, a crime boss who operates across Bangkok but has a strong footprint in New Delhi and Mumbai. AJ single-handedly rescues Xavier’s sister Marina, Manasvi Mamgai, from a kidnapping, and Marina soon develops feelings for Jai, though he is married to Anusha, Yami Gautam. Xavier, enraged by the prospect of losing Marina to AJ, tries to eliminate Anusha to force AJ into an arranged marriage with Marina, leaving Anusha severely injured. Jai manages to escape back to India, while Anusha receives treatment.

Present: Vishi encounters Jai again and learns about his murky past. Jai asks Vishi to travel to Bangkok disguised as AJ to mislead Xavier and Marina, while Jai himself focuses on getting Anusha operated on again since she is pregnant. Vishi agrees and heads to Bangkok with his friend Moosa, Kunaal Roy Kapur. Shirke discovers AJ’s lookalike and tries to warn Xavier, but the messenger is killed in a way that raises Xavier’s suspicions. Marina subjects Musa to torture to extract the truth, and Musa reveals that Vishi is the one who masqueraded as AJ. Xavier hatches a plan to lure AJ to Bangkok by kidnapping Anusha and her child.

However, it’s soon revealed that Vishi is actually in Mumbai; he and AJ swapped places at the airport after completing the job. AJ reaches the scene, dispatches Xavier’s henchmen, and confronts Marina, ultimately killing her by throwing her into a furnace. After defeating Xavier, AJ escapes with Anusha. The child’s fate is later confirmed as safe, rescued by one of Xavier’s men, Robert. AJ and Vishi finally reunite at the airport, and Anusha urges Vishi to marry Khushi soon.
