The story centers on a wealthy playboy named Shravan Sanjay Dutt. He meets Varsha Manisha Koirala, a vibrant and independent woman, and his pursuit gradually builds a tender bond. After a period of friendship, he proposes marriage, and Varsha accepts. They become engaged and decide to celebrate with a holiday together. During this trip, Shravan reveals that his feelings were never genuine, confessing that he faked his love to sleep with her. Heartbroken, Varsha leaves the country and begins a new life under the name Payal. Shravan returns home and tells his family that Varsha did not respond well to his advances.

Ten years pass, Payal crosses paths with Karan Ajay Devgn, a young artist who believes he has found the woman of his dreams in Payal. They fall in love and begin preparing for their wedding. Yet, during the week of the ceremony, Shravan arrives in the village and is revealed to be Karan’s brother, a twist that shocks both Payal and Karan. Shravan tries to save him but is struck by the train. In a quiet, tragic moment, Shravan confesses his cruelty toward Varsha/Payal and begs Karan to look after Payal, insisting that her true identity remain hidden from their family. He dies in Karan’s arms, leaving a profound wound that links the two brothers’ futures and the woman they both care for.
