In Kolkata, Suraj leads a life of anonymity, until his friend Dildar respectfully nudges him to come back. The film then shifts into a long flashback: Suraj is a chemistry professor teaching at a women’s college, where one student, Pooja, is spoiled, bratty, and fond of pranks that disrupt the class—like bursting crackers just to “welcome” the new professor. The little girl—the daughter named Pooja by Supriya—becomes a living reminder of the cost of secrets and the possibility of healing through forgiveness and family ties, even after years of pain.
