After chance encounters, Raj Malhotra and Priya Malhotra fall in love. During a vacation, Raj notices Vikram “Vicky” Bajaj kissing another woman, and his disbelief only grows when he sees Sonia making bold advances toward him. Raj rejects Sonia, a fact Vikram quickly learns. As Sonia grows more forward, Vikram manipulates the situation so that Raj and Sonia appear paired while he, in turn, is paired with Priya. The setup sows tension and confusion, but Priya remains blissfully unaware of the full scheme unfolding around her.
On the last day, Vikram casually discusses partner-swapping with Raj. He eagerly suggests they should try it out, proposing that Raj sleep with Sonia while he spends the night with Priya. Raj is repulsed by the idea, and a heated argument erupts between the two men. Yet Priya manages to bridge the rift, helping Raj and Vikram reconcile on the eve of Vikram’s birthday a few days later. The trio celebrates with drinks, a moment that secrets itself beneath the surface lies.
That night, Vikram insinuates that Raj should become Vicky for the night, and even hints that he could swap identities with Raj temporarily. A drunken Raj is sent to Vikram’s house, where Priya is stunned to find Vikram instead of Raj. The next morning, Raj wakes to find a partially clothed woman in bed with him, realizing he has been tricked and is in Vikram’s house. He hurries home to find Priya content and calm, who confirms that Vikram did come over on Raj’s instruction for his birthday. She explains that the gesture was meant to be a one‑off for a special occasion, not a habit, but Raj cannot shake the seeds of doubt.
As the suspicion lingers, he remembers Priya’s stated boundaries and grows convinced that Vikram has orchestrated more than one night of deception. He isolates himself, while Priya, though torn, supports his pursuit of the truth. Soon, Sonia is found dead, and Raj is accused when his fingerprints appear on the murder weapon, an alcohol bottle. Vikram insists that Raj masterminded the plan and forced Sonia, but Raj knows something deeper is at play and escapes from the court.
Pairing up with Priya, he begins to uncover the truth. Neighbors—the Malhotras—recall that Vikram entered the house the night of the murder with an accomplice. They search Vikram’s residence but are interrupted by Vikram himself, who phones the police and confesses that the whole ordeal was a setup. Raj and Priya flee in a car, chasing answers.
A boarding pass belonging to Sonia Bajaj surfaces, confirming contradictions in the murder timeline. Confronting Vikram, Raj learns the full plan: the woman photographed with Vikram in Mauritius was actually his wife Sonia, while the other woman with him was his girlfriend, Neeta. Vikram, a struggling musician, had married Sonia and persuaded her to take out an insurance plan worth $100 million on her life. He masterminded Sonia’s murder with Neeta to claim the money.
Vikram boasts that he can pin the murder on Raj, but Raj exposes him. He reveals an empty bank account, having guessed Vikram’s password, “Everything is planned,” and has used it to transfer funds back to the insurer. The revelation is recorded, and a confrontation ensues. Neeta dies in the struggle, and a furious Vikram turns violent, killing the insurance officer. He chases Priya to finish her, but Raj intervenes, impaling Vikram with an anchor from a cruise ship, ending the scheme once and for all. Raj and Priya escape, and the duo returns to India, leaving the deception behind and seeking a future together beyond the shadows of the plot.
