Dhadkan (2000): Cast, Box Office & Plot

Anjali Chauhan Shilpa Shetty Kundra is a young woman whose world sits on a pedestal of wealth and influence. Her father, Narendra Chauhan Kiran Kumar, is a prominent businessman, and Anjali’s heart is drawn to Dev Chopra Suniel Shetty. Dev, though kind and deeply in love with Anjali, comes from much humbler means, and his appearance—unshaven, in simple clothes and sandals—doesn’t sit well with Narendra’s sense of status. Dev’s mother, Jhanvi Sharmila Tagore, adores her son and trusts Anjali to care for him, a belief that society would later challenge. When Narendra agrees to meet Dev and assess him, his first impression is blunt: Dev’s social standing and rough exterior clash with the life Narendra has planned for his daughter.
