Amar Mehra, a Bangalore-based police inspector, is pulled into a high-stakes undercover mission when the Mumbai police commissioner Vinod Talwar asks him to locate and eliminate the killer of a businessman named Khanna. The investigation quickly narrows to a shocking truth: the culprit is his childhood friend Raja Lokhande, a man known by the fearsome nickname King Nag. As Amar digs deeper, he discovers that two other childhood friends, Jaggu Lokhande and Surya, are entangled with the same underworld, serving the ruthless ganglord Lala Roshan Lal. To get close enough to the inner circle, Amar allows himself to be drawn into their fold, using years of friendship as cover.

In a parallel emotional thread, Pooja, Amar’s childhood sweetheart, reenters his life. She is Surya’s sister and has chosen a path of honesty over crime, hoping to reform the people she once cared about. Amar believes that reform is possible, and he clings to that hope even as the danger intensifies. But the gang’s suspicions grow when Lala begins to suspect that Amar might be a mole, especially after a botched encounter.

The tension crescendos as Jaggu confronts Amar, demanding proof of loyalty. Amar denies any treachery, with Raja standing by his side, but the demand to prove himself pushes Amar toward killing a police inspector—a move that shatters the fragile trust around him. Pooja, distressed by the turn of events, distances herself. Yet the truth behind the incident is revealed to be a hoax, and Vinod Talwar makes it clear that the real test isn’t an act of bravado but how Amar will navigate the loyalty owed to his old friends.

Amid mounting chaos, Surya attempts to bridge the gap with Pooja, even as Lala’s brother makes an unwelcome advance toward her. This provokes a brutal reaction from Surya, who beats the intruder, and the family tensions spill into the street when Lala hides at home. When Amar and Raja step out to keep watch for the police, Jaggu unexpectedly lures them out, and a grim betrayal unfolds as Jaggu betrays Surya and arranges his death.

With Surya gone, Raja becomes consumed by a new hunger for vengeance. He kills Lala’s brother in a fit of vengeance, and Amar learns that Raja has also killed Lala. The confrontation reaches a fever pitch when the police move in to shoot Raja as Roma faints at the scene. Roma is revealed to be Raja’s girlfriend and becomes a poignant symbol of the stakes involved; Amar begs the officers to spare Roma and helps rush her to safety, while Raja eludes capture for the moment.

The truth about Amar’s identity is finally laid bare: he is indeed a cop, deeply embedded in the criminal network to root out corruption. As the hunt continues, Raja discovers that Lala’s empire can be toppled only if Amar can bring him to justice. The chase ends with Raja and the law closing in on Lala: Amar defeats Lala in a decisive confrontation, the police arriving just in time to seal the killer’s fate.

In the aftermath, the law lays out consequences for the players: Raja and Jaggu face lengthy prison terms (10 and 7 years, respectively) after agreeing to cooperate with the police as informants. Amar, meanwhile, is taken into custody for questioning, his undercover mission complete but the moral weight of his choices lingering. The film closes on a note that blends redemption with reckoning, showing how loyalty, love, and the line between duty and friendship can collide in the fiercest ways.
