Curly Howard stumbles into a windfall of $50,000 after crafting a catchy radio jingle that wins a contest. Joined by Moe Howard and Larry Fine, the trio decides to treat themselves to a life of luxury, chasing the vibe of wealth they imagine for themselves. They check into the opulent Hotel Costa Plente, a setting that gleams with lavish furnishings and a sense of easy abundance. Yet their well-meaning enthusiasm quickly becomes a test of balance, as their well-known clumsiness turns the upscale space into a stage for frequent mishaps, damaging pricey items despite their best intentions.

Meanwhile, three cunning opportunists posing as affluent widows arrive with a plot built on deceit, aiming to infiltrate the Stooges’ quarters and secure marriages to wealthy suitors. The visitors weave a convincing tale of sorrow, wealth, and romance, and the Stooges’ trust is tested as the ruse unfolds around the shimmering backdrop of the hotel life.

Initially, the ruse seems to work. Curly discovers that the massive prize has been whittled down to a mere $4.85 due to steep tax deductions, a jarring reminder of reality that forces a reevaluation of the plan. With pockets far lighter than imagined, the trio contemplates the widows’ proposals more seriously than before, swayed by the lure of security and the illusion of perpetual luxury.

Driven by dwindling funds, the Stooges reluctantly agree to matrimonial arrangements with the supposed widows. But the façade of affluence begins to crumble as the true financial state of the group is laid bare, exposing the deception at the heart of the scheme.
