The Stooges play three hapless tramps who nearly ruin a farmer’s (Richard Fiske) firewood pile before stepping in to help Widow Jenkins (Eva McKenzie), recently swindled out of her land by a trio of crooks (Dick Curtis, Eddie Laughton, James Craig). Their attempt to repair her well erupts into an oil geyser, but they recover the deed and win the right to marry the now‑wealthy widow’s daughters. Moe urges Curly to wish for quintuplets, prompting Curly’s quip, “We’ll honeymoon in Canada!” as a nod to the famous Dionne quintuplets.

The Stooges — [Moe Howard], [Larry Fine], and [Curly Howard] — are bumbling tramps who tumble into a string of misadventures.

After accidentally causing chaos on a farmer’s property, they hoof it on foot, hoping to find a ride. Their luck seems to brighten when they stumble upon what they believe to be a free car, and they take it for a carefree joyride.

Their distraction almost leads to a sequence of mishaps before they come to the aid of Widow Jenkins and her daughter June Jenkins, changing the course of their day.

Grateful, she treats them to a lavish meal, and in return they promise to repair her broken water pump. During the repair, they accidentally uncover oil beneath the farm, turning the pump into a geyser and staining their clothes—an embarrassing but comical badge of their meddling.

Despite their good intentions, they soon learn that the widow has been swindled out of her land by a trio of deceitful con artists. Determined to set things right, the Stooges confront the crooks after reclaiming their car, which the criminals had used to deceive them.

A hair-raising chase follows, culminating in the Stooges retrieving the deed to the land just before it is recorded at the courthouse. As a result, the trio earns the right to marry the widow’s daughters, with a planned honeymoon in Canada.
