After slipping away from railroad authorities, the Stooges cross paths with Ivan Bustoff, a celebrated wrestler drawn into a high-stakes match orchestrated by mob-backed trainers. The mob bets on Bustoff’s victory, but his love of revelry leaves him drunk and unreliable on fight night. To salvage the situation, the mob compels the Stooges to handle Bustoff and ensure his sobriety for the bout. In a locker-room mishap, Bustoff is incapacitated, forcing an abrupt substitution with Curly. To tilt the odds, Moe and Larry exploit Curly’s vulnerability to the scent of the perfume Wild Hyacinth, triggering a burst of aggression that could change the match. However, Curly’s performance in the ensuing wrestling bout falls short of expectations, and the mob grows louder with threats of dire consequences if Curly cannot deliver victory. Moe seizes an opportunity to obtain the perfume from a spectator and applies it to Curly, spawning chaos as Curly inadvertently knocks himself out and also takes down the challenger, igniting a string of comic mishaps that ends with Curly’s own knockout.
