The Stooges are hired to sell Brighto, which they believe is a cleaning fluid. Their antics destroy a police officer’s uniform and a brand‑new car, only to discover Brighto is actually a medicinal tonic. They take the product to a hospital, but the chief, who also owns the wrecked car, discovers the deception, forcing them to flee.

The indolent Moe, Larry, and Curly Stooges are jolted awake by their wives’ persistent pleas for them to punch a real paycheck. A chance meeting with a slick salesman leads them to Dr. Bright, the head of a company desperate for new faces to push his latest invention, a tonic called Brighto. The trio misreads Brighto as a simple polish, and with that comic misinterpretation, they dive headlong into a street-level sales campaign, certain that they will conjure up instant customers.
