Eli Herschel Wallach was an accomplished American film, television, and stage actor from New York City. Known for his impactful presence behind the character roles, Wallach's entertainment career lasted for over six remarkable decades. He was the recipient of a BAFTA Award, a Tony Award, and an Emmy Award, and was also inducted into the American Theater Hall of Fame in 1988. Furthermore, Wallach was honoured with the Academy Honorary Award in 2010.

Wallach and his wife, Anne Jackson, frequently graced the stage together, cementing their reputation as an unforgettable acting duo in American theater.
