Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahin 1991

Pooja Dharamchand is the daughter of a wealthy Bombay shipping magnate, Seth Dharamchand. She is head-over-heels in love with the film star Deepak Kumar, but her father strongly disapproves of their courtship. When she secretly escapes from her father’s yacht and hops aboard a bus to Bangalore to be with him, Seth Dharamchand enlists a public reward for anyone who can locate her, turning the search into a high-stakes pursuit.

On the bus, [Pooja Dharamchand] crosses paths with Raghu Jaitley, a loud-mouthed journalist who has just lost his job. He offers to help her in exchange for an exclusive story that could resurrect his stalled career. Reluctantly, Pooja agrees, fearing that her father will reveal her whereabouts if she refuses. Seth Dharamchand learns of Raghu’s involvement when Raghu visits him to request the money he spent on Pooja’s Bangalore trip. Seth Dharamchand senses that Raghu’s concern goes beyond a simple reward and asks him if he genuinely loves his daughter. Raghu confesses his love, and Pooja initially reacts with anger, suspecting that Raghu is chasing a payoff rather than a future.
