Rhoda Griffis is an American actress renowned for playing supporting roles in both independent and mainstream films and television. Born on January 9, 1965, Griffis stepped into the limelight with her first film role in the 1992 drama Love Field, where she portrayed Jacqueline Kennedy. Prior to her silver screen debut, she had already started carving a niche for herself in the world of theater with plays such as Angels in America, Proof, Collected Stories, and The Dark at the Top of the Stairs. Apart from her film roles, Griffis' notable TV work encompasses made-for-TV films and series including In the Heat of the Night.

In her illustrious career, she worked for seven seasons with The North Carolina Shakespeare Festival, and for five seasons with Charlotte Rep. She also made appearances with the Saint Louis Repertory, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, and Theatre by the Sea.
