Guy Edward Pearce, born 5 October 1967, is an acclaimed Australian actor. His illustrious career launched with his portrayal of Mike Young in the Australian television series Neighbours from 1986 until 1989, leading to significant roles in global cinematic pieces. Pearce gained international recognition for his work in The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert (1994), Curtis Hanson's crime noir L.A. Confidential (1997), and the psychologically thrilling Memento, directed by Christopher Nolan in 2000.

Aside from this array of performances, Pearce engaged in multiple notable film projects, including Flynn (1996), The Time Machine (2002), Two Brothers (2004), Bedtime Stories (2008), and the historical biopic Mary Queen of Scots in 2018. His further ventures in Australian cinema include The Proposition (2005), Animal Kingdom (2010), 33 Postcards (2011), The Rover (2014), and Holding the Man (2015). In 2012, Pearce began his stint playing the title role in the TV adaptations of the Jack Irish stories, earning him abundant praise and following. His role in Todd Haynes’ Mildred Pierce brought him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or Movie.
