What Is Breakout About?

A resourceful ex-LAPD operative orchestrates a daring escape from a maximum-security prison, transforming it into an impenetrable fortress and uniting the inmates in his cause. As he fights for freedom, a skilled hostage negotiator and a veteran of Black Ops are deployed to stop him, forcing the ex-operative to confront his past and overcome powerful adversaries in a tense showdown.

Harris Wagner grows increasingly suspicious that his grandson, Jay Wagner, is entangled in his own illicit business schemes that, wittingly or not, involve the CIA. To quiet any risk without drawing attention, Harris has a CIA operative named Cable arrange a murder in Mexico that would frame Jay. He doesn’t desire Jay dead—only silenced—so Jay ends up imprisoned in a Mexican jail, a setup designed to keep him from interfering with Harris’s plans.
