Pushpa’s life takes a tragic turn when she is expelled from her home by her husband and his new wife. Despite her refusal to leave, her husband becomes violent, resorting to physical abuse before casting her out. Seeking refuge, she turns to her mother, only to be disowned, leaving her feeling completely abandoned. Facing despair, Pushpa attempts to end her life, but her journey into hardship continues when her village-uncle, Nepal Babu, sells her to a brothel in Calcutta. There, her talent for singing draws the attention of Anand Babu, a Raajesh Khanna, a businessman who is seeking love and companionship.
