In a city where opportunities feel scarce, Raja and his friend Charan arrive hoping to build a life. Jobs prove elusive, and a taunt from the ruthless Kallu Dada erupts into a physical clash, with Raja walking away the victor. That win nudges him into the shadowy world of crime, as he becomes a local underworld don who extorts protection money from shopkeepers, all while his drinking spirals.

Raja’s life begins to tilt when he meets Laxmi, and he feels a genuine pull toward her. He steps up to aid her on several desperate occasions: he helps cremate her father, Mohan ‘Dadhu’ Rao after his passing, and he intervenes when [Kallu Dada] and his goons attempt to molest her. When the municipality tears down her hut, Raja offers a safe place for her to live, signaling a shift in his priorities. Under Laxmi’s influence, he starts to leave behind his old habits, and the couple’s bond grows stronger as they imagine a future together.

They decide to marry, sharing a quiet hope for a stable life. Yet on the wedding day, Laxmi’s old beau, the Professor, reappears and asks for her hand, complicating the path forward. Meanwhile, Raja is arrested for the crime of killing Kallu and is sentenced to five years in prison.

Five years pass, and Raja walks out to a world that has moved on without him. He finds [Professor], Laxmi, and [Charan] waiting, a mix of curiosity and emotion in the air. He gestures toward Laxmi, asking if she has married the Professor. She answers with a light slap and then a kiss, sealing a reunion that feels earned after hardship, and the trio’s shared past gives way to a renewed, fragile hope for what comes next.
