Harrelson received three Academy Award nominations for his roles in The People vs. Larry Flynt, The Messenger, and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri. Other notable work includes his performances in series like Frasier where he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, and films like No Country for Old Men and Zombieland. He also portrayed Haymitch Abernathy in The Hunger Games film series. Apart from acting, Harrelson was nominated for several Primetime Emmy Awards for his roles in HBO films like Game Change, crime anthology series True Detective, and political limited series White House Plumbers, for which he received a Golden Globe nomination.
