Colm Joseph Feore OC, born on August 22, 1958, is a renowned Canadian actor. A 15-year stalwart of the Stratford Festival, he gained fame with his Gemini-winning role as Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau in the CBC miniseries Trudeau (2002). He is also applauded for portrayals like Glenn Gould in Thirty Two Short Films About Glenn Gould (1993), and the character of Detective Martin Ward in Bon Cop, Bad Cop (2006) and its sequel. His Hollywood credits are quite extensive, having roles in Chicago (2002), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), 24 (2009), The Borgias (2011–2013), Thor (2011), House of Cards (2016–2017), 21 Thunder (2017), For All Mankind (2019), and The Umbrella Academy (2019–2024). Feore has also demonstrated his acting prowess with several commendable performances at the Stratford Festival Theatre, including renowned plays like Macbeth, Cyrano de Bergerac, and King Lear. In a career that spans country borders and decades, Feore has been a recipient of a Prix Iris and Screen Actors Guild Award, along with a Genie Award nomination.

Born in Boston to Irish immigrant parents, Feore had quite a moving childhood as the family relocated back to Ireland before finally settling in Windsor, Ontario. He honed his skills at the National Theatre School of Canada in Montreal, Quebec. Gaining ground as an actor, he quickly climbed the ladder of success in the Acting Company of the Stratford Festival of Canada, starting with bit parts and eventually bagging leading roles. Feore has also been recognised for his contributions to Canadian theatre and film, receiving honorary degrees from the University of Windsor and Wilfrid Laurier University, the Gascon-Thomas Award, and even an Officer of the Order of Canada rank. In 2019, Feore was the proud recipient of the Lifetime Artistic Achievement Award in Film from the Governor General's Performing Arts Awards, and in 2021, he won the Canadian Screen Award for Best Supporting Actor for the film Sugar Daddy.
