
On October 29‑30 2009 the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame celebrated its 25th anniversary with two concerts at Madison Square Garden, hailed as some of the best shows ever. Acts spanned the ’50s‑’90s, featuring Crosby, Stills & Nash, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Aretha Franklin, Metallica, U2, Jeff Beck and Bruce Springsteen & the E‑Street Band. Guest stars included Jerry Lee Lewis, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King, Lou Reed, Mick Jagger and Fergie. A four‑hour HBO special reached tens of millions, and the event is now on DVD.
