Bonnie Lynn Raitt is an American singer, guitarist, and songwriter born on November 8, 1949. Raitt launched her musical career in 1971 and has made substantial strides in the industry, especially in the genres of blues, rock, folk, and country. She's been an influential figure in blending these genres into her unique sound. Her breakout came in 1989 with her tenth studio album, Nick of Time when the album topped the Billboard 200 chart and received the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Raitt's following albums, Luck of the Draw (1991) and Longing in Their Hearts (1994), equally performed well in sales and chart rankings. As of 2023, Raitt has earned an astounding 13 competitive Grammy Awards, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and various accolades.
