From the wreckage of a plane crash, a disparate and desperate group of survivors find themselves stranded in a barren, rugged expanse somewhere in present-day Namibia. Brian O’Brien stands out as the group’s strongest survivalist—a seasoned big‑game hunter whose rugged skill at staying alive is tangled with a thatcher of ruthlessness. In the immediate aftermath, he re-enters the burning fuselage to recover vital supplies, including a hunting rifle, a brutal move that signals his willingness to sacrifice others to tilt the odds in his favor.

As days turn to a grueling test of endurance, Brian O’Brien grows more dangerous. He fixates on a chilling plan: wipe out the others and leave only Grace Munkton alive, shaping her into an emblem of virtue a man can control in a ruthless struggle for power. The group’s fragile trust frays under pressure, and the threat of betrayal darkens every decision made in the harsh environment.

The surrounding wilderness is no passive backdrop. A troop of chacma baboons patrols the desolate hills, first shrieking from a distance and then growing bolder as they sense weapons among the survivors and begin to test the humans who threaten their territory.
