Agadez, a remote French outpost in the Sahara, is run by the cruel Captain Savatt. Legionnaire Jim Wilson arrives, followed by his fiancée Carla Preston, tracking him. When Legionnaires mutiny, they leave Savatt in the desert with water. He survives, returns with troops, but Arab forces surround the fort, forcing the mutineers to certain death if they try to leave.

Jim Wilson receives a telegram that his brother, who served in the French Foreign Legion, has died, and he makes a swift, decisive choice: he will join the Legion himself.
