Bhoomi Sachdeva, a designer, is all set to marry Neeraj Mathur, but her habit of returning home late from work becomes a problem. Her father, Arun Sachdeva, an alcoholic shoe-maker who sells shoes, shares a loving relationship with her, though life beneath their roof is complicated by fear and vulnerability. A local shopkeeper’s son, Vishal Munshi, fixates on Bhoomi and resents the looming marriage, stalking her as his longing mutates into pressure and threat. When his advances cross a line, Bhoomi defends herself with a sharp slap. This act nudges Vishal into deeper trouble, and he turns to his cousin’s gangster circle, where the menacing Dhauli becomes the pivot around which a dangerous plan begins to turn.

Before the wedding can take place, Bhoomi is abducted while traveling home with her aide Jeetu. In a brutal turn, she discovers Vishal forcing her into near-fatal harm, and she endures a sequence in which Vishal, Dedha, and Dhauli each participate in a horrific assault. The trauma leaves her unconscious as the men escape into the night, leaving Bhoomi to grapple with the enormity of what has happened. The nightmare collides with the wedding day when Neeraj, stunned by the truth, is compelled to cancel the marriage. At that moment, Arun and his childhood friend, Taj Mishra, confront a police station to file a formal complaint, a move that pulls Bhoomi’s plight into public light and into the path of law—and into the fragile dynamic of the family.

In a subsequent arrest and pursuit, Bhoomi is abducted again by Vishal, Dhauli, and Dedha. This time their attempt to harm her is interrupted, but Dhauli’s brutal act nearly ends Bhoomi’s life as he hurls her into a river to die. Yet Bhoomi survives, and the legal proceedings that follow quickly spiral into a clash of patriarchal power and personal pain. Arun challenges the defense’s approach as patriarchal and body-shaming, and the case is ultimately dismissed after Dhauli is released. The verdict hardens the bond between father and daughter, even as Bhoomi bears the heavy social stigma of the assault—the kind of stigma that seeps into the walls of their home, with Bhoomi’s phone number scrawled on surrounding walls as cruel evidence of public shaming.

Neeraj returns, weighed down by remorse, but his efforts to soothe Bhoomi fall short, and she ultimately steps away from him. The narrative then tightens its lens on the consequences of the crime as Jeetu’s family arrives with a troubling clue: a video from Jeetu’s phone revealing what happened. Realizing Jeetu’s complicity shocks Bhoomi and complicates her sense of justice and safety.

Arun and Bhoomi take a turn into vigilantism, abducting Jeetu and subjecting him to coercive punishment. Arun then haunts Vishal, pressing him to confront the consequences of his actions and the brutal acts that fed his rage. Dhauli, armed with the fear of retribution, takes Vishal to Arun to demand an apology, but this confrontation escalates into a direct clash between father and enforcer. As Jeetu nears adulthood, a flashpoint arrives when Arun forces Jeetu to face the consequences in the most brutal way: on Jeetu’s eighteenth birthday, he is forced to slit his own throat, his body later found in Bhagwan Talkies, the same place where Bhoomi had endured so much trauma. A police officer who had previously logged Arun’s complaint witnesses Jeetu’s sister publicly denying responsibility, a moment that hints at the possible reach of Arun’s shadowy influence. The officer returns Arun’s keychain, remarking that a person should not leave belongings behind after the match is played, a chilling insinuation that old loyalties and fear may shield murder.

In the wake of these revelations, Dedha presses Bhoomi again, only to see Taj tragically killed in an accident when his vehicle collides with an iron pole. Shattered by the loss of his ally, Arun steels himself to finish the job by targeting Vishal, Dedha, and Dhauli. The pursuit comes to a head in a tense sequence where Dedha is fatally struck by a speeding train, a brutal reminder of the price of vengeance. Vishal, terrified by the string of murders he helped unleash, boards a bus only to be cornered by Arun and Bhoomi, who compel him to mutilate himself as a stark act of control and punishment.

The final chase leads them to Dhauli’s territory, where the duo corners Dhauli in a temple. They dislodge him from the world by tossing him into a pond, and as his last breath fades, Bhoomi and Arun stand over the water, having achieved a grim form of justice that binds them through shared peril and a hard-won sense of closure. The film closes on a wary peace forged in the wake of violence, trauma, and an unflinching (and deeply personal) pursuit of accountability.
