Michael Epps (born 12 March 1992) is a British‑New Zealand racing driver who has competed across a variety of single‑seater and touring‑car series. From humble beginnings in karting to the high‑pressure environment of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC), his career illustrates a steady climb through the motorsport ladder. He started karting in 2007 in the United Kingdom, spending four seasons sharpening his racecraft before graduating to the 750 MC Formula Vee Championship in 2011, where he finished second overall, a result that highlighted his early potential. The following year he moved to the Formula Renault BARC championship, taking a respectable thirteenth place in the main series and tenth in the winter series, gaining valuable experience in open‑wheel machinery. In 2013 he ventured across the Atlantic to contest the U.S. F2000 National Championship, again finishing thirteenth, and in 2014 he excelled in the U.S. F2000 Winterfest, securing two wins, four podiums, two poles and a runner‑up championship position. A brief return to the rebranded Protyre Formula Renault series complemented his diverse resume before he switched to the Volkswagen Racing Cup in 2015, capturing four victories and an eighth‑place finish in the standings. In March 2016, Epps made his BTCC debut with RCIB Insurance Racing, driving the Toyota Avensis under the Autoaid/RCIB Insurance Racing banner.
