Judith Davis, commonly known as Judy Davis, is a highly decorated Australian actress with a career spanning over four decades. She has often been acknowledged for her versatility and proficiency in acting, earning numerous accolades such as nine AACTA Awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards. She also received nominations for two Academy Awards. Director Woody Allen described her as "one of the most exciting actresses in the world".

Davis made her acting debut in 1977 after graduating from the National Institute of Dramatic Art. She gained worldwide recognition for her leading role in the period drama film My Brilliant Career (1979), which won her two BAFTA Awards. This led to starring roles in Hollywood projects, earning her first Emmy nomination for A Woman Called Golda (1982). She received nominations for the Oscar category of Best Actress for A Passage to India (1984) and Best Supporting Actress for Allen's Husbands and Wives (1992). Some of her other acclaimed films include Children of the Revolution (1996), Celebrity (1998), Marie Antoinette (2006), The Eye of the Storm (2011), To Rome with Love (2012), The Dressmaker (2015), and Nitram (2021).
