Ami Koshimizu (小清水 亜美, born February 15, 1986) is a prolific Japanese actress, voice actress, and singer who has become a staple in contemporary anime and video game voice work. Raised in Kokubunji, Tokyo, she entered the performing arts at the age of twelve by joining Theater Company Wakakusa, where she first discovered her passion for acting and later, under the influence of senior Mayumi Iizuka, set her sights on voice acting. After graduating from Aomori Yamada High School, Koshimizu made her professional debut in 2003 when she won the audition for the title role of Nadja Applefield in Ashita no Nadja, instantly establishing herself as a leading talent. Over the following years she demonstrated remarkable versatility, portraying characters ranging from the energetic Tenma Tsukamoto in School Rumble to the enigmatic Anemone in Eureka Seven, and earning a reputation for delivering nuanced performances for both youthful heroines and mature figures. Her breakthrough came with the role of Kallen Stadtfeld in Code Geass, which earned her the Best Actress in a Supporting Role award at the inaugural Seiyu Awards in 2007, cementing her status among the elite voice actors of her generation.
