The Pretty Cure Max Heart team, led by Ichika Usami / Cure Whip Karen Miyama, faces a mysterious monster that brazenly attacks the city of Minato Mirai 21. Working in concert with the other Cures, they unleash a powerful move called Extreme Luminario to defeat the threat and, in the process, rescue a reporter who had become trapped on a Ferris wheel. The victory feels earned, but the surprises keep coming as a small, eerie figure—an odd teru teru bōzu named Miden Tasuku Kida—suddenly materializes before them, signaling that the danger is far from over.
The next chapter unfolds with the Hug! Pretty Cure team—Hana, Saaya, Homare, Emiru Nao Tamura, and Ruru—enjoying a peaceful picnic when Miden reappears. They transform to confront him, only to discover that he is not a straightforward foe: he can mimic attacks used by other Pretty Cures. In a startling turn, Miden targets Yell, and Ange, Etoile, Macherie, and Amour vow to shield her. The protective effort comes at a high price, as several of the heroes are briefly reduced to babies in the process, creating a moment of chaos that clusters the young and old memories of the team.
When the Max Heart squad arrives to defend Yell and the younger members, Miden vanishes—leaving White temporarily turned into a baby. A wiser voice explains the gravity of the situation: Miden has tampered with memories across the town, erasing recollections and leaving the team disoriented. The story tightens around the theme of memory as both a precious treasure and a burden, and the heroines rally to recover what was lost while keeping hope alive for those who have been displaced.
As the search for their baby teammates resumes, the truth behind Miden begins to emerge. He is revealed to be the Miden F Mark II, a camera whose manufacturer went bankrupt, leaving the device without any photographs or memories of its own. After gaining a rudimentary consciousness, the camera yearned for its own stories and started stealing memories from others. The revelation softens the confrontation: Miden’s loneliness and pain are not evil at heart, but a desperate plea to be remembered.
With the help of the Miracle Lights, the heroines manage to restore their friends to normal, and the battle against Miden’s shadows intensifies. Yell steps forward and reaches out to Miden, offering him a chance to create new memories together rather than stealing them. In a climactic act of compassion, the Pretty Cures—powered by the same magical light that once restored them—heal Miden, who smiles for the first time and gradually fades away, his longing fulfilled in a new, hopeful way.
In the quiet that follows, Hana captures a final moment of unity by taking pictures of everyone at the picnic with a fixed Miden camera, sealing the memory of the day and the bond that the team reforged. The film closes on a note of renewal, memory, and the enduring power of friendship that defines the Pretty Cure universe.
