In this captivating story, EnEn and Grell from the Fairy Academy are assigned to investigate a newly formed Pretty Cure team known as HappinessCharge PreCure!. Their mission begins with reaching out to members of the DokiDoki! PreCure team, including Mana, Rikka, Alice, Makoto, and Aguri to arrange a crucial meeting.
During these efforts, a mysterious figure named Glassun appears, revealing alarming news: several children, including Megumi and others, have fallen into a strange coma. Determined to help, the Pretty Cures team, along with Blue, ventures into the world of dreams—a surreal realm where the subconscious takes shape and nightmares can become reality. Inside this dreamscape, they encounter Yumeta, a gentle dream-eating fairy and a close friend of EnEn and Grell. Yumeta’s tragic backstory unfolds as his mother, Māmu, appears and causes chaos by casting the girls away from the Dream World, leaving behind the Pretty Cure book that holds their powers and history.
Māmu then steals the book and traps the Pretty Cures into their own personal dreams, exploiting the children’s fears and insecurities. Fortunately, Megumi and Hime—Hime Shirayuki—manage to resist Māmu’s spell and transform into their Cure forms, fighting to protect themselves and others from her nightmare minions. The rest of the team struggles but soon joins the battle, determined to rescue their friends and free those trapped in dreams.
As the story unfolds, Yumeta confesses that his mother’s motives were driven by loneliness and fear. He reveals that he does not want to be alone in the Dream World and that his mother’s trap was an act of desperation. With the combined courage and support of the Cure team and the power of the Miracle Lights, they rally together for a final confrontation. The team successfully battles Māmu’s nightmare monsters, awakening the children and gradually freeing them from their subconscious prisons.
In a pivotal moment, the Cures—including Cure Echo, Cure Princess, and others—hold a heartfelt rallying cry, inspiring Yumeta to confront his fears. With kind words and the power of friendship, Yumeta overcomes his insecurities, transforming into a true dream-eater and showing his mother that there can be a better way. Māmu, weakened and remorseful, regains her senses but is unable to banish the nightmares alone.
The team’s courage and the Miracle Lights summoned by EnEn and Grell help rescue the children, bringing them back to the waking world. Recognizing Yumeta’s potential, EnEn and Grell decide to write about his journey, the incredible effort of the HappinessCharge team, and the promising future for Cure Echo, who later becomes a full partner to the team.
This story emphasizes themes of bravery, friendship, and the importance of facing your fears with kindness and support. It highlights that even the smallest fairy or human can make a big difference when they stand together against darkness and despair, reinforcing the idea that hope and love can triumph over nightmares.
