Upacharapoorvam Gunda Jayan (2022): Cast & Plot

The film opens with a tense flashback featuring Gunda Jayan, who once ruled with rough resolve. In the present, Jayan has traded that rough edge for a quieter life, running a modest grocery with his family and trying to keep harmony at home. His sister’s marriage is being arranged to an NRI, and Jayan moves quickly to seal the match, pushing for a quick alliance that would secure the family’s honor. This plan collides with the resistance of his sister’s daughter, Anjana, Nayana Prasad, who is already in a relationship with someone of her own. Jayan’s firm hand and protective streak push her to keep quiet, and the family braces for a wedding that feels almost like a test of loyalties and tradition.
