Kuttan is a high-ranking IPS officer and a widower who lives in a luxury flat with his son, Kichu. He hails from a Brahmin community and has built a controlled, private life around a small circle of trusted friends. His temperament is sharp and reactive—easily irritated, quick to take offense, and prone to lashing out at behavior he finds provocative, especially from young women. An introvert by nature, he avoids large social settings and maintains a rigid, protective approach to his family. This overprotective stance begins to suffocate Kichu, who longs for more space and autonomy. A creeping sense of unease takes root: he becomes convinced that someone is trying to kill him and grows increasingly suspicious of everyone around him, clinging to a trusted few while pushing others away.

Things take a troubling turn when his younger sister, Bharathi, arrives to stay in a nearby flat with her theatre artist husband, Kuttappan. Bharathi’s presence unsettles him, reviving old tensions and straining the family’s fragile balance. The history that Bharathi eloped with Kuttappan, a man from an oppressed caste, intensifies Kuttan’s deep-seated biases, bringing his bigotry into sharper relief. This prejudice amplifies his anger and shapes how he interprets the world around him, fueling a growing hostility toward those he distrusts.

As the narrative unfolds, Kuttan’s paranoia escalates, coloring his perceptions and isolating him from most of the people he once trusted. He becomes suspicious of nearly everyone, preserving a narrow circle of loyal allies while pushing others away. The film presents a stark study of how fear, social prejudice, and protected status can distort reality, turning protective instincts into controlling rage. In the end, Kuttan’s hatred and entrenched bigotry propel him toward a dangerous unraveling, challenging the boundaries between duty, authority, and the darker impulses lurking beneath a seemingly orderly life.
