Within the close-knit Sumalatha Arts Club, led by Pavithran, Suraj Venjaramoodu—often called Paviyettan—a bachelor in his thirties whom the members look up to, the story unfolds against a backdrop of friendship, small-town camaraderie, and the gentle tug of unspoken feelings. The club’s energy is fueled by Abhi, and by Kiran, Basil Joseph as Kiran, and Amal, Aswin Vijayan as Amal, who all contribute to the group’s lively dynamic. One day, Bibeesh, Abhiram Radhakrishnan, drops a surprising bomb: he plans to marry without telling the club, which immediately stirs up offense and confusion among the members.

The bride-to-be, Chandrika, Niranjana Anoop, is not just Bibeesh’s choice but also someone Abhi has loved since his school days, though he has never found the courage to confess. Chandrika’s life becomes more complicated because her father, Ravindran, arranges the marriage without her consent, leaving her feeling trapped and unheard. Sujina, Chandrika’s elder sister, understands the deeper ache—she knows Chandrika loves a boy named Abhi and wants to help, but she isn’t sure how to proceed. She turns to Paviyettan for help, hoping he can gently nudge the situation toward a more humane outcome.

Despite initial hesitations and worries, Paviyettan decides to lend a hand. He enlists the help of his neighbor, Chandran, and together they begin making quiet moves to derail the wedding. They choose to work separately from the rest of the club, believing that surfacing the truth and protecting Chandrika’s autonomy requires discreet actions. The two groups—one led by Paviyettan and Chandran, and the other by Bibeesh and the club—try a series of clever, rope-a-dope schemes to stop the ceremony, but nothing works as planned. The attempt to keep their plans hidden from one another only muddles the situation further, until a moment of clarity arrives: they are all fighting for the same outcome, just with different starting points.

Realizing they share a common goal, Paviyettan and the club members decide to join forces. In a final, coordinated effort, they attempt to stage an elopement—Chandrika and Abhi are whisked away to a nearby temple in a bid to wed without resistance. What should be a triumphant escape is swiftly complicated by a shocking twist: at the temple, they discover that the “Abhi” Chandrika loves is not their Abhi at all, but a driver named Abhishek. Chandrika herself isn’t aware of Abhi’s true feelings, or even the existence of the man she is meant to marry from Abhi’s side. Nevertheless, Chandrika and Abhishek do marry, and the celebrations are tempered by the revelation.

As the dust settles, Bibeesh’s own path takes a turn as well: he elopes with his girlfriend on the same day, revealing that love and movement were already at play within the group’s orbit. The club members, though their plans didn’t unfold exactly as hoped, extract a positive through the upheaval. Abhi, who has long sought his own footing, resolves to earn a living and pursue happiness on his terms. Paviyettan and Sujina grow closer during the ordeal and ultimately marry, finding a shared future after weathering the misadventures of friendship and love. Paviyettan also vows to repair the rift between Chandrika and Ravindran and to invite Chandrika and Abhishek back into their home, showing a path toward reconciliation.

Meanwhile, Kiran, ever the observer and storyteller, channels what he has learned into a screenplay drawn from his experiences. The project gains traction, becoming a success that earns him an interview with a journalist who asks about the tension between reality and imagination. In that interview, he uses a spinning top as a simple symbol—a reminder that life can be a blend of both tangible moments and the ideas we spin from them.

In the end, what remains of the Sumalatha Arts Club is not just the memory of a disrupted wedding, but a richer understanding of love, community, and growth. The characters find their own forms of happiness, weaving together lessons learned from miscommunication, secret plans, and the surprising ways people come together when they choose to see the best in one another.
