What Is The Trojan Women About?
The premise of The Trojan Women without spoilers.
After the Trojan War, the women of Troy confront loss and danger. Queen Hecuba surveys the ruined kingdom after her son’s death. His widow, Andromache, must raise their infant son Astyanax alone. Hecuba’s daughters face grim futures: Cassandra fears Greek enslavement, Helen risks execution. The Greeks focus on Astyanax, last male heir of royal line.
