What Is The New Gentlemen About?
The premise of The New Gentlemen without spoilers.
Gaillac, an electrician at the Paris Opera, falls for ballerina Suzanne, whose patron is the powerful politician Count Montoire. When the Opera staff strike, Gaillac leads the workers and impresses so much that he is appointed Secretary of Labor. Now he and Montoire stand as equals, both vying for Suzanne’s love and clashing politically in a satire the French government banned for allegedly undermining the dignity of Parliament.
