Spoilers ahead
When precocious teenager Hye-hwa [Yoo Da-in] realizes she is pregnant, it seems she has everything under control. But her convictions crack when her loving, docile boyfriend Han-soo [Yoo Yeon-seok] disappears without a word, apparently exiled to Canada by his mother Kil Hae-yeon.
Five years later, Hye-hwa’s bold attitude and bright manicures have given way to a quieter, more focused life. She spends her days rescuing abandoned dogs and grooming them for a living, her steady routine earning her a hard-won sense of purpose. She also tends to the widowed boss’s son, a responsibility that has hardened her and made her wise beyond her 23 years. The delicate balance of her world shifts again when a chance encounter with Han-soo re-enters her life.
