What Is I Wanna Be a Sailor About?
The premise of I Wanna Be a Sailor without spoilers.
Momma parrot teaches her chicks “Polly want a cracker,” but young Peter dreams of sailing like his father. Despite Mom’s tale that his dad was a failure who left for Hawaii (actually Catalina) after the kids were born, Peter builds a barrel‑boat, enlists a chatty duckling, and sets off on a lake. A thunderstorm hits, the duck saves him, yet his wish to be a sailor stays strong.
