In 1880 Arizona, General Fletcher Blackwell orders Captain Walsh to cancel his escort of a wagon‑train bound for Furnace Creek fort. Apache “Little Dog” attacks, slaughtering the garrison. The treaty breach triggers a cavalry campaign that drives settlers, wiping out the Apaches, leaving Little Dog at large. Blackwell court‑martialed for treason.
