Set in France, 1803, a secret royalist network is led by a new ‘Scarlet Pimpernel’ called the Purple Mask. He rescues nobles and kidnaps Napoleon’s officials for ransom, aided by a troupe of models led by Laurette, the Duc de Latour’s daughter. Unaware of his true identity, they assume the foppish dancing master René is harmless.
