The Movie Echo Score Breakdown for Baaghi 2
Art & Craft
In terms of art and craft, the film exhibits moments of dynamic action staging, but its overall execution feels dated and uneven. Critics noted an overreliance on telling rather than showing, with uninspired editing failing to sustain momentum. Visual design aligns with genre expectations but rarely innovates beyond stock imagery. The direction delivers occasional bursts of energy yet falters in maintaining visual coherence.
Character & Emotion
When it comes to character and emotion, Baaghi 2 struggles to create depth or resonance. Reviewers highlighted shallow character arcs and forced romantic subplots that fail to advance emotional stakes. Supporting roles are underutilized, reducing experienced actors to mere props. The protagonist's inner journey lacks nuance, and attempts at heartfelt moments are quickly overshadowed by action sequences. Overall, character engagement remains minimal.
Story & Flow
In terms of story and flow, the narrative is marked by uneven pacing and contrived plot twists. Several reviewers found the mystery elements overly convoluted and the logic tenuous, especially in the second half. Though occasional surprises add brief intrigue, the film quickly lapses into pulpy repetitiveness. The original premise shows limited innovation, and the mounting body count dilutes narrative momentum. The plot coherence ultimately undermines engagement.
Sensory Experience
When it comes to sensory experience, the action choreography delivers isolated bursts of excitement, yet the soundtrack and sound design often distract more than enhance. A few chase sequences and hand-to-hand combat scenes stand out, but background scoring feels noisy and inconsistent. Visual style adheres to genre norms without distinctive flair, and dated production values emerge in quieter moments. Overall, the audio-visual impact remains sporadic.
Rewatch Factor
Regarding rewatch factor, Baaghi 2 offers limited appeal for repeat viewings. While action enthusiasts may revisit standout sequences, the film's lack of narrative cohesion and shallow character arcs diminish long-term engagement. Reviewers noted that the novelty of fight scenes wanes quickly, and without deeper emotional or thematic resonance, the film struggles to maintain interest beyond an initial viewing. Its lasting appeal is therefore minimal.

Neha, portrayed by Disha Patani, experiences a sudden assault by unknown attackers and loses consciousness. Upon waking, her primary concern is finding her missing daughter, Riya. Despite her relentless searching, two months pass without any leads. In desperation, she reaches out to her ex-boyfriend, Tiger Shroff, who steps away from his duties as a Captain in the Indian Army to aid her.
As he travels to meet Neha, memories flood back from their college days four years earlier, when romance blossomed between them. Ronny professed his unwavering support for her, a promise that now weighs heavily on him. Once reunited, he quickly senses Neha’s distress; she reveals that her three-year-old daughter disappeared the day she was supposed to start school.
On that fateful day, while Neha waited in her car, she was viciously attacked and Riya went missing. Concerningly, when Ronny queries about her husband, Shekhar (Darshan Kumar), Neha expresses her fears about his fragile state of mind. She implores Ronny to help her find Riya, reminding him of his vow to be there for her.
Seeking answers, Ronny rents a car and encounters Usman Langda, played by Deepak Dobriyal. Together, they approach the police for assistance, but the encounter takes a turn when inspector Kute behaves inappropriately towards Neha. Ronny’s protective instincts lead him to retaliate and, as a result, he finds himself arrested. Thankfully, DGP Shergill, portrayed by Manoj Bajpayee, intervenes and secures Ronny’s release after his superior intervenes.
Ronny’s investigation continues at Neha’s house, where he discovers that no photos of Riya exist, raising even more questions. Neha hesitates to let Ronny meet her husband, indicating that Shekhar remains uninformed about their past. Alarmingly, she then reveals that her brother-in-law, Sunny (Prateik Babbar), is an alcoholic and a drug addict, stirring Ronny’s curiosity to investigate further.
As Ronny pursues leads, he faces roadblocks, including conflicting statements suggesting that Neha and Shekhar have never had a daughter. A visit to the school’s CCTV proves fruitless; yet an encounter with Shekhar uncovers a shocking truth: Neha has been grappling with mental instability since a miscarriage following their marriage. Ronny attempts to comfort Neha, but she struggles with the weight of her emotions.
In a heart-wrenching turn, Ronny discovers a height chart for Riya etched on the wall, solidifying his belief in Neha’s claims. Tragically, it’s too late as Neha takes her own life, and the police, led by ACP LSD, portrayed by Randeep Hooda, arrive at the scene, casting suspicion on Shekhar.
As Ronny continues piecing together the mystery, Usman admits to witnessing Riya with Sunny, igniting Ronny’s determination to confront him. This confrontation results in chaos and violence as Ronny demands answers about Riya’s whereabouts. Following a series of dramatic events, the police arrive, leading to tensions in the interrogation room. In a heated moment, Sunny becomes aggressive, forcing Shergill to shoot him, leaving Ronny in despair.
The plot thickens further when Ronny discovers that DGP Shergill has been orchestrating events for his own gain, having received payoffs from Shekhar. In a climactic confrontation, the truth emerges; Riya is indeed Ronny and Neha’s daughter. This revelation ties back to Neha’s heart-wrenching choice to marry Shekhar at her father’s request.
As the film reaches its conclusion, it’s revealed that Shekhar, realizing his sterility, had orchestrated the deception. The closing credits depict Ronny, now reunited with Riya, cherishing the memories of Neha as they embark on a new chapter together.
