Takashi Yamazaki

Takashi Yamazaki (born June 12, 1964 in Matsumoto, Nagano) is a renowned Japanese filmmaker whose career spans more than four decades, encompassing roles as a film director, screenwriter, visual effects supervisor, character designer, and producer. Beginning his professional journey in 1984 as a miniature builder, he joined the visual effects studio Shirogumi after graduating from Asagaya College of Art and Design, where he would later collaborate with his future wife, fellow director Shimako Satō.
