Months after the events of the previous film, Shinichi Izumi Shota Sometani continues his uneasy war against the parasites, aided by Migi Sadawo Abe, the parasitic lifeform that now lives in his right hand. The authorities turn to Uragami Hirofumi Arai, a serial killer with a peculiar talent for sensing parasites among people, to help identify threats—but even his heightened perception cannot reliably read Shinichi, leaving the investigation unsettled and precarious. As Shinichi keeps hunting the creatures that prey on humans for sustenance, he and Migi navigate a world where trust is scarce and danger can come from any direction, including those who would seek to weaponize the very ability that helps them survive.
