Alan Cumming

**Alan Cumming**, FRSE (born 27 January 1965) is a renowned Scottish actor who has extensively contributed his talents on various stages and screen roles across his career. Known for his impressive versatility, he has been recognized with numerous accolades including a BAFTA Award, two Emmy Awards, two Tony Awards, and an Olivier Award. Some of his most noteworthy stage performances include his Comedy Performance in the West End production of Accidental Death of an Anarchist (1991) and his roles in The Conquest of the South Pole (1988), La Bête (1992), and Cabaret (1994). He received the Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical for reprising his role as the Emcee on Broadway in Cabaret (1998) and was critically acclaimed for other Broadway roles in Design for Living (2001), and Macbeth (2013). In addition to his prolific stage career, Cumming is also known for significant film and television roles. Some of his remarkable performances from an array of films include Circle of Friends (1995), GoldenEye (1995), Emma (1996), Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997), Eyes Wide Shut (1999), The Tempest (2010), and Battle of the Sexes (2017). His portrayal as Fegan Floop in the Spy Kids trilogy (2001–2003), Nightcrawler in X2 (2003) is also appreciated. On television, he earned distinction for his role in the CBS series The Good Wife (2010–2016), nominated for multiple Primetime Emmy Awards, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and two Golden Globe Awards, and presenting the Peacock reality game show The Traitors. Besides, he has also made a mark as a writer with his novel, Tommy's Tale (2002), and two memoirs in 2014 and 2019.
