Commercial direct-view LED cinema platform offering HDR-like contrast and modular sizing.
Samsung Onyx is a branded line of DCI-certified LED cinema screens. It packages fine-pitch LED modules, image processing, and calibrated color pipelines into turnkey auditorium systems. The hallmark is deep blacks and high peak luminance compared with projection, producing crisp titles, saturated animation, and robust 3D readability without polarization losses.
Onyx installs replace the booth with rack-based processing near the screen, plus redesigned audio arrays to recreate the phantom center behind a non-perforated surface. Maintenance focuses on module calibration, brightness uniformity, and pixel integrity checks. Because LED walls are inherently flat and rigid, geometry is stable; however, venues must manage reflections from glossy side surfaces and ensure emergency egress lighting does not wash the image.
DCI packages play through a secure media block with color transforms tuned for the display’s gamut and EOTF. For non-theatrical events—gaming, premieres, or streaming—Onyx can accept alternative inputs, but operators should lock profiles to avoid mismatched gamma or gamut. QC passes should include caption/subtitle legibility and logo/credit roll behavior at higher contrast.
Sharper perceived detail and sparkle appeal to modern audiences, while purists may note differences from the softer, reflective look of projection. Correctly staged audio imaging and careful seating plans are essential so the heightened clarity does not expose mix imbalances.

Heat-map Analytics
Heat-map analytics for video provides a powerful visual representation of aggregate audience engagement, showing precisely which moments in a film or trailer are most-watched, re-watched, or skipped.
Token-Gated Screening
A token-gated screening is an exclusive online film event where access is restricted to users who can prove ownership of a specific digital asset, such as an NFT, in their cryptocurrency wallet.
